Mind set

Mind set

Having small realistic Long term goals is what it all about. In fact my only goal only goal for the first month was to gradually change my diet, then after the first month I added in excise (GYM) but it was not for me. So instead of going the GYM I just made exercise as part of my daily life (eg. taking the stairs etc...)

I tried not to look at the scales  because a persons weight naturally goes up and down, and I’d find my self really happy or not so happy depending on the day. So I only looked at the scales maybe once a month or more. By doing that I created a good mind set, because by living a healthier lifestyle in the long term you most likely lose some weight by the time I look at the scales at the end of the month.

As time when on the simple fact that I was eating healthy and doing light exercise that was part of my everyday life gave me a good mindset that I was on the correct path.

After a few months I found myself actually enjoying a healthier lifestyle, and it became normal to me.
My goals are very small, realistic and long term and therefore more easily maintainable. By doing these small achievable goals it give you a good mind set and created a snow ball affect, eg I ate health for a month so maybe next month I can so some light excise as well etc..

Your healthier lifestyle goals should suit your individual needs, it’s completely up to you what your plan/goals are.

My recommendation would be to just spend the first 2-3months getting use to eating healthier, and doing very light exercise that you can easily maintain in the long term no matter how small, (eg.10 min walk a day etc..), and not to worry about losing weight until you feel that your healthier lifestyle has become more of a habit. Remember good long term, realistic goals easier to maintain and stick to!
